Aglio, olio, e peperoncino is a traditional Italian pasta dish which combines Aglio(Garlic), Olio (Olive Oil) & Peperoncino(chili peppers). We have added mushrooms to this traditional Italian delicacy. This is the kind of meal that makes you stop and think that the simplest foods are often the most wonderful.

    200 gms Spaghetti Pasta
    4 Garlic Cloves
    4 tbsp Olive Oil
    1/2 tbsp Red Chili Flakes
    250 gms Mushrooms
    1 tbsp Parsley
    1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese
    1 tbsp Basil Leaves
    8 slices Garlic Bread

    DIRECTIONS

      Cook Pasta In a saucepan bring 1 liter to water to boil and cook spaghetti pasta for 8 minutes until it is al dente / or firm to bite. Drain the pasta under cold water, to prevent from cooking further.

      Start with Aromatics for Mushrooms Heat olive oil on a non-stick pan on low flame, add garlic and saute for 30 seconds, until golden but not browned. Add chilli flakes and stir.

      Add Mushrooms Add Mushrooms cover and cook for 1 minute. Add 5 tbsp (75 ml ) water and cook for 30 seconds over low flame

      Add Pasta to Mushrooms Add the spaghetti and season with parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Toss so that spaghetti is coated in olive oil mixture and everything is well combined.

      Serve with Garlic Bread Switch off heat and garnish with parmesan cheese and basil. Serve with toasted garlic bread slices.
