INGREDIENTSPortion for 2

    For Broccoli
    375 gms Broccoli Flowerets
    1.5 tbsp Butter
    1.5 tsp Chopped Garlic
    1.5 tbsp Mint
    1.5 tbsp Basil
    Sprig of Mint & Basil for Garnish

    For French Mornay Sauce
    1.5 tbsp butter
    1.5 tbsp Flour
    360 ml Milk
    4.5 tbsp Cheddar Cheese
    1/2 tsp White Pepper Powder
    1/2 tsp Nutmeg Powder

      Blanch Broccoli Flowerets Bring 1 liter of water in a saucepan to boil and add the broccoli flowerets, blanch them for 5 minutes. Drain water and run cold water on broccoli.

      Heat Milk for Mornay Sauce Wipe clean the saucepan used for Broccoli and heat milk until just about to boil. Switch off heat, keep aside.

      Cook Flour & Butter Mixture for Mornay Sauce While the milk boils, in a medium non-stick pan, heat butter over medium-low heat until melted. Add the flour and stir until smooth. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 3 minutes until the mixture turns light, golden sandy color.

      Add Milk and Finish Mornay Sauce Add the hot milk to the flour and butter mixture, whisking until smooth. Bring to a boil and immediately lower heat, add cheddar cheese stirring continuously, then remove from heat. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and set side until ready to use .

      Cook Aromatics for Broccoli Wipe clean the non-stick pan used for cheese sauce and melt butter on medium heat, add chopped garlic, saute for 2 minutes until garlic starts releasing aroma.

      Add Broccoli and Mornay Sauce Add broccoli, seasoning, basil and mint. Saute for 2 minutes and add mornay sauce. Stir and serve hot. Garnish with sprig of basil and mint and serve with garlic bread
