INGREDIENTSPortion for 2

    2 tbsp Chopped Onions
    1/2 tsp Chopped Garlic
    2 tbsp Leek, Chopped
    1/2 Red Chili Chopped
    1 tbsp Olive Oil
    Spice Mix (1 tsp Cumin, 1 tsp Coriander, 1 tsp Paprika, 1/2 tsp Nutmeg, 1 tsp Oregano)
    1/2 Cinnamon Stick
    1 tbsp Tomato Puree
    200 gms Chopped Tomatoes
    2 tsp Vegetable Aromata Powder
    50 gms Dried Green Lentils
    50 gms Dried Red Lentils
    200 gms Boiled Red Kidney Beans
    100 gms Boiled Black Beans
    2 tbsp Chopped Coriander
    4 Hot Dog Buns
    2 tbsp Soured Cream
    2 tbsp Mustard Sauce

      Prepare Vegetable Stock In a saucepan bring 480 ml (2 cup) of water to boil, add vegetable aromata powder and mix well. Switch off heat and keep aside.

      Start with Aromatics for Lentils Heat a non-sick pan on medium heat for 1 minute. Add the olive oil along with garlic, onions, leek and red chili and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until softened.

      Add Spices & Tomato Puree Add the spice mix, cinnamon stick and fry for about 2 minutes. In case it turns a little dry add 1 tbsp of water (15 ml) to it. Stir in the tomato puree and cook for further 2 minutes.

      Add Lentils, Beans & Vegetable Stock Now add lentils and beans along with chopped tomatoes, and then add vegetable stock (prepared earlier). Bring the lentil mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer covered with a lid for 25 to 30 minutes, or until thickened and reduced and lentils have cooked. Stir the mixture every 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste, garnish with coriander switch off heat

      For Final Serving Serve TexMex chili with hot dog bun with mustard sauce and sour cream.
